The Gathering Of The Sisters Ministry
Sister Jacqueline Miller, Chairperson
We, "The Gathering of the Sisters", is an annual fellowship reaching out to the communities to transform women and young girls through the preaching and teaching of the gospel message that has been given to us by God's Word, The Bible. Our ministry outreach of witnessing is guided by Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
The fellowship program includes Keynote Speakers that speak to the theme and scripture for the edification of all. The three testimonial speakers share events that have changed their lives in order to encourage others that are going through a storm. Our motto is "Come to the Well and Drink Without Price."
Ministry Purpose: This fellowship is to reach out and retain women of different ethnicity, touching Christians and non-Christians and transforming the lives of young girls in the community. The youth outreach is a new ministry focus that will equip young girls to make good choices by teaching God's Word, building the girls' self-esteem. and fun activities in a Christian environment. The Gathering of the Sisters Committee is working hard to glorify God. Everyone that comes to the fellowship leaves lifted up.

New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Mission
Our Mission department is under the direction of, Sister Gloria W. Mitchell, who is president.
The mission is composed of eleven active members and you are welcome to join us every second Monday at 10:00 a.m. We have a round table discussion on the lessons for that month and would welcome your input. We have a Fifth Sunday Program every fifth Sunday and The Annual Prayer Breakfast is the second Saturday in September.
The mission members have dedicated our talents to the community by trying to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. We make visits to Nursing homes to visit our sick members. At Christmas we make a contribution of needed items to the patients. The Mission has an Open Kitchen every fourth Saturday of the month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. where we feed any and all in the community in need of a hot meal. Sister Bender holds a Financial Fitness Seminar every fifth Saturday. AS you see we are doing many things to Bless The Community. Please join us as we strive to make this a truly Christian Community of giving and support.
New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Mission
Our Van ministry is under the direction of, Brother Newell Caldwell.
The Van Ministry allows us to provide transportation for members and guest with no means of transportation, but having a desire to praise, worship, and hear the sermon live.
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God’s grace, New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church will continue to be active in the ever changing world by ministering to all God’s people. The goal of the Van Ministry is to provide a safe journey to and from the destination in order thal all have an opportunity to experience the worship service and other activities.
Brother Caldwell says, "If you get them ready we will come." Hebrews 10:25 says "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Mission
It is my pleasure to work with the web committee in order to produce New Bethel's web presence. We live in a time in which we can share what the Lord has given us with others half-way round the world with a click of a button. Information travels at the speed of light . Lord help us to use this ability to His glory in Jesus name.
And what is the most important thing that the Lord has given us and commanded us to share : Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." "The Gospel" is the good news, and the good news is that we don't have to die in our sins: Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God in His infinite mercy has sent us a Savior, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." John 3:15 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Our faith then is grounded upon the Word of God, who cannot lie. Titus 1:2 " In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;"
So then Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Call on the Lord, Jesus Christ, today. Revelations 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." 1John 5:12-13 "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

2. How to manage your money. (BUDGETING)
3. How to keep your money. (SAVINGS)
4. How to protect your money. (INSURANCE)
5. How to grow your money. (INVESTING)
6. How to share your money to help others. (TITHES AND OFFERINGS)
7. Think outside the box. (HOW TO START AND GROWTH YOUR BUSINESS)
8. How to improve your neighborhood. (NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT)
Education will be the center of this initiative, and we plan to emphasize it in
all phases of church life. We cannot overstate the importance of education and
how we plan to implement a very progressive, continuous, substantive, and
knowledge-based program free of charge to our congregation and community.
Seminars are presented by Sis. Linda Caldwell Bender, retired Executive Vice
President of BBVA Compass Bank and current Business Owner.
New Bethel's Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School is under the direction of, Sister Vicki Hines.
Vacation Bible School at New Bethel is a fun filled atmosphere where the young and young at heart study and learn about God’s word. Students spend time in “God’s Big Backyard” learning how to serve God, serve family, serve friends and serve the community. On the Vacation Bible School program, students showcase their talents as they present, plays, skits, poetry, scriptures, prayers and songs that reflect what they’ve learned in their various classes. Each night there is fellowship during the delicious meals prepared by the hospitality committee. We have a wonderful time at Vacation Bible School! Please join us.

The 2015 Kick off of the Youth Tutor Program
On Thursday, Sept. 10, New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church will kick off the third year of its after school tutoring program.
The program, conceived by Deacon Newell Caldwell, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday and provide tutoring assistance, computer coding classes and healthy snacks for area school children in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
By partnering with Wiley College and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, college students and adults provide much needed tutoring and homework assistance. Further to help students prepare for future careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), a computer lab was set up at the church to teach students how to code computers. Additionally, the East Texas Chapter of the Links, Inc. provides resources for the computer classes and healthy eating snacks.
Pastor Steve Miller has stressed the need for all students to meet basic literacy qualifications and this year a new program, "GO READ," will require each individual student to spend at least 15 minutes reading aloud to a tutor. A contest will be held to see who reads the most pages and books.
The church is located at 408 Milton Street in Marshall. The program is open to any and all area school children in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
To volunteer or donate books, contact the church at (903) 935-3952.

Marshall Prayer Force Ministry
The Marshall Prayer Force Ministry is composed of twenty faithful members. The ministry began in 2015 by Sister Dorothy Boyd at New Bethel after talking to our minister, Rev. Steve Miller.
Our prayer focus is for constant safety of the one being prayed for as well as the family at home, quick wisdom in every decision-making situation with supernatural self-control, and easy transition from the emotional demands of the job. I encourage the members to display the Marshall Prayer Force window decals in or on their vehicles to publicly show our appreciation to the men and women who serve us so well.
These public servants of Marshall include: Marshall Police Dept.; Marshall Fire Dept.; Texas State Troopers; Harrison County Sheriff Dept.
